Here is how I first learned of our new arrival. In early December Katie called and asked to have lunch, just the two of us, so we meet @ Apple Bee’s. I new something real serious was about to happen as she had us tucked away back in the corner away from everyone. I must say at first I was shocked at the news, however, as time grew I became more and more excited about our new arrival.

I remember the day that I first saw you (on the sonogram). I was so excited when they said it is a girl, they even gave us a picture of you still in your mommy’s tummy. My dear daughter “Katie” grew to be such a beautiful pregnant mommy, she just glowed.

Papa however, did not learn the news until Christmas. Katie had surprised him with a special hand-written note. She expressed how special he had been to her while growing up… so her gift to him was a grandchild.

When we asked what name they had picked (Paris Jade), Papa said that he was going to call her “PJ,” Katie and Brandon was not very happy. However, we do call her Paris as it is a very fitting name!
